I survived depression, anxiety, deaths in my family, and heartbreak. I’m HERE and I thank God for getting me to this point. I’ve never felt so happy and authentically me.

I am determined to make this a positive and successful semester. I listen to the Elevation Church podcast every morning and write down things that stick with me to read every day before I leave my room. I have cut off all relationships and habits that are not good for me and I have stopped holding my feelings into spare others. I am surrounded by the best friends a girl could ask for and I’m excited to close this chapter.

“I know that 2017 will be a little kinder. That all that was lost will be returned and I will be open to any form. That the sour of the sixteenth year will be squeezed into sweetness. Rock bottom has never felt so good.”

-Jada Monet – “Sour Of The Sixteenth Year”
